Why We Rebranded

If you have been to our website before, you will notice some big changes in the present website. If this is your first visit, welcome. With a website that seems to be working, why change it? Well, here are some of the reasons we thought it was time for a change.

‍Changing Focus. Actually, we simply narrowed the focus of our practice to reflect the areas of law that we thought best served our clients. In complex and confusing times, most of our clients wanted solutions rather than conflict. Resolution without litigation.

The March of Time. In the last ten years, the way we conduct the business of our lives has changed dramatically. More people are working remotely. Phones have become the primary connection that many people have to the global economy. Online commerce has exploded. Law firms started offering unbundled legal services. We have found that our clients wanted their interactions with lawyers to reflect these changing technologies and approaches.

Connections. We have pointed our law firm firmly in the direction of communication and collaboration rather than divisiveness and conflict. We strive to make sure that our clients have a personal relationship with us as their lawyers. We also seek to promote solutions to legal problems that are easily accessible, convenient, and affordable.

‍A Collaborative Effort. Once we had distilled the messages we wanted to project, we sought collaborators to help us realize that vision. We were lucky to find Tom Petruccelli and Chris Hunter of 828 Design in Asheville, who worked with us to create the look and feel of the website and our new brand.

Location, Location, Location. For over thirty years, we have been involved in litigation, primarily in eastern North Carolina. The relocation of our practice to the Asheville area has strengthened our desire to have a law firm that is accessible, result-oriented, convenient, and affordable. There is a saying that Altitude affects Attitude. We hope our new website demonstrates how deeply the mountains of western North Carolina have influenced the way we provide legal services to our clients.
